In WordPress a Post is the basic post type that is shown in reverse chronological order.

Posts make up the article-type content in your website. By default, they’re listed in reverse chronological order and are what you’d think of as the “blog” of your website.

Posts differ from pages in that they:

    • Include categories
    • Include tags
    • May include post types, depending on your theme
    • Are listed in chronological order by default
    • Show in the RSS feeds for your website
